Reiki

Ki (also called Prana/ Qi/ Life force/ Holy Spirit) flows through your physical and energetic bodies and when you are healthy your Ki is flowing harmoniously. You feel balanced physically, emotionally, mentally and spiritually.

When your Ki is blocked or weakened and unable to flow, you may suffer symptoms such as depression, tiredness, anxiety, addictions, negativity and physical illness.

Reiki practitioners become channels for universal life force energy, channelling high vibrational healing energy and use the power of intention and gentle healing touch to clear any blockages and help raise one’s vibrational frequency to improve health and wellbeing.

Reiki is a gentle, non-invasive but powerful form of healing. Reiki can cause no harm as it always works for the highest good of the recipient and encourages physical, mental, emotional and spiritual healing.

Reiki can assist in:

• reducing stress and anxiety,

• relieve physical pain,

• stimulate your immune system,

• improve your body’s own ability to heal itself,

• increase energy levels and

• bring you into balance mentally, emotionally and spiritually.

Reiki balances and works on four levels- physically, emotional, mental and spiritual and as it flows through the person and it adjusts to the recipient so that each person receives exactly what they need at the time.

• The Physical level- the physical body and any pain or illness

• The Emotional level- what you are feeling and experiencing (emotional responses)

• The Mental level- your thoughts and attitudes (letting go of negative thoughts, concepts and attitudes, replacing them with positive thoughts, peace and serenity.

• The Spiritual level- your capacity to love yourself and others unconditionally (accept and love your whole self and fosters a non-judgemental approach to humankind and allowing you to accept every person as a beautiful and pure soul energy as well as a human being.

During a Reiki session, you are fully clothed and lying on a massage or treatment table. If you prefer, Reiki can also be channelled to you in a seated position.

After making you warm and comfortable, I will centre myself using a short meditation to ensure that I am calm and centred and ready to channel Reiki. All you need to do throughout the session is remain relaxed. The session will be conducted in silence.

• Warmth or tingling where my hands are placed.

• A general feeling of being calm and relaxed.

• Emotions can come up during or after a session. Crying or laughing are common.

• Some people experience body twitches, indicating that reiki is moving through their body and releasing blockages.

• At a minimum, most people will experience a very deep state of relaxation during a session, which allows physical, mental or emotional stress to leave the body, reestablishing equilibrium and a feeling of well-being.

The benefits of Reiki can be enjoyed without necessarily feelings any of the above sensations.
